Setting Ring Count for Prospecting with Mojo
When prospecting with Mojo, you can customize how many rings occur before a call is marked as "No Answer." This feature runs automatically in the background, significantly improving your prospecting efficiency.
Ring Count Guidelines
- 4-5 rings: Ideal if your goal is to speak with live people and minimize answering machine/voicemail encounters
- 6-7 rings: Best choice if you want to maximize every call opportunity and are comfortable leaving messages on answering machines/voicemails
Optimizing Your Contact Rate
If you're using a 4-ring cycle and experiencing low contact rates:
- Increase to 5 rings when calling landlines
- Increase to at least 6 rings when calling mobile phones
Important Note About Mobile Calls
When calling mobile phones, the system counts rings on Mojo's side, not the recipient's side:
- The first 1-2 rings often occur while the cellular network locates the subscriber
- This means your 4-ring setting might only give the recipient 2 actual rings to answer
- This limitation applies to ALL mobile calls, regardless of whether you're using Mojo or another system
