Hello,
In this video, I'm going to show you how to set up an email template. The first step will be going to settings. To get to settings, click the menu button on the bottom left and then choose settings. From settings, select email, which will take you to the template section. From the template section, you can either choose a pre-built template or start a new template.
I'm going to start a new template. From here, I can either start from scratch or use one of the pre-existing layouts, which I can then alter and put in my own information. I'm going to start with the "Start from Scratch" option. Once I choose "Start from Scratch," the first part I need to enter is the label. The label is for your own internal reference, so it's important to label it something that's easy to identify so you don't have to open each template to find out what the content is. For today, I'm going to call it "My Demo Template."
The subject is what people will see when you send them the email. You can choose to add attachments if you want, and you can also include subject tags. Tags within Mojo will automatically populate information from that record into your email. For example, if you want to include the person's first name, last name, or address, you can include that information using tags. You can also choose to CC or BCC with the email template.
We start you off with a text block that says, "I'm a new text block ready for your content." You can delete that and start typing your content. As soon as you start typing, a toolbar will appear. If you want to include a merge tag, you would type something like "Dear [First Name]" and then begin writing the body. You can use the toolbar to adjust the size and type of font, bold or italicize text, align content, and more. This works well for basic emails, but you may want to include additional structure.
On the right side, there's a content section where you can add more elements to your email. For example, you can add an image by dragging the image block over to the template, dropping it into place, and browsing to upload an image. You can also include buttons, dividers, social media links, dynamic content (like your email signature), HTML blocks, video links, icons, and additional text.
Under the "Rows" tab, you can adjust the layout of your email. If you accidentally place content in the wrong section, you can delete it by clicking the trash can icon. This allows you to customize the structure of your email to suit your needs.
In the "Settings" tab, you can adjust details like the content area width, content area alignment, and background color. This is an advanced email template creator, so it may take a little bit of time to get used to, but it's very powerful and gives you a lot of options.
One feature we offer is the ability to improve your text with AI. Instead of thinking of all the content yourself, you can have AI create it for you. For example, if I want to write an email about Thanksgiving, I can ask AI to generate the content. I can adjust the tone to make it more formal, add humor, or shorten the text. Once I’m happy with it, I hit the save button and it automatically inserts the text into my template.
You may want to see how your email will look before sending it. You can choose "Send Test Email" to send a test version to yourself, or you can select "Preview." The preview option allows you to see how the email will look on both desktop and mobile devices, which is important since many people check their emails on their phones.
We give you a lot of options for creating email templates, but the best advice we can give is to keep your emails simple. The more complex and cluttered your email is, the more likely it is to end up in a spam folder. Avoid using too many buzzwords and try to keep your messaging clear and straightforward.
I'm going to save this template, and it will now show up in the settings section. This has been a video about creating an email template. Thanks so much, and I hope you're making it a great day!
